PANJABAN - 1993
Neelu an elegant and lovely female from Ludhiana (Punjab) was just 19 year old when she won the prestigious title of PANJABAN for the very first exclusive Pageant based on Punjabi Culture ever organized throughout the world. The Pageant was held at Nehru Sidhant Kendera, Ludhiana on 3rd, October 1993 by Sabhiacharak Sathh, Panjab.
Neelu an excellent dancer, proved to be a perfect blend of beauty and brains. In solo performance she danced to the tunes of the song Amritsar De Pappad Ve Main Khandi Na.
After getting fame and recognition, as a PUNJABAN Neelu was casted with famous Punjabi Singer HANS RAJ HANS inthe song "Ni Vanajran Kudiye" which was aired on Doordarshan and got wide acclaim.
Jaswinder Bhalla a famous and popular comedian of Punjabi Media was impressed by her performance and started casting her besides himself in all Audio and video performances which is continuing till date.
Indu who is a famous giddha dancer bagged the title 1st runner up. She danced on the tune of the song, "Ghara Vajda Gharuli Vajdi, Kite Gagar Vajdi Sun Mundyia.
Paramjit Kaur, 5' 6" tall carrying the grace of a true Panjaban was awarded the title of second runner up.
Famous playback singer of Hindi films JASPINDER NARULA along with her father Mr. K S Narula who is a well known music director graced the occasion with their benign presence.
